Product Description
New Horizon 201 Turntable White
Elegance and power. With their essentiality, the turntables of the 200 series give you unforgettable sensations.
Modern Turntable Design The New Horizon innovates the classic design and combines it with high-quality finishes and reliable construction, with attention to detail.
The synergy of the common elements that make up the 201, 202 and 203 means that even the smallest details emerge from the vinyl grooves with the grace and sweetness that only large analogue systems can deliver.
The plate is made of 20mm thick transparent methacrylate and weighs almost 2kg. This greatly increases inertia and rotational fluidity for the benefit of music playback dynamics.
Combined with the new New Horizon NH95 9″ tone arm, fully adjustable, it improves detail and clarity in listening. A wonderful project that has engaged us in the search for features of absolute perfection to extract the soul from our favorite records.
Attention to detail defines the greatness of the New Horizon turntable: the plinths rest on technical feet, in three pieces, damping and adjustable in height.
201: Exemplary silence, reliability and first-class performance. A safe investment to listen to our LPs.
HD plinth
The 201 is a turntable with a rigid base. It is important that the base or plinth can hold the other parts of the garment firmly in place and withstand the transmission of vibrations and resonances: our choice at New Horizon is compressed wood pulp and artificial resins. known as HDF. This material is extremely smooth and heavy, and its isomorphic composition works much more efficiently than solid wood.
AC synchronous motor
The beating heart of the turntable is the compact 24V AC synchronous motor whose main feature is its extremely regular rotation, regardless of mains voltage fluctuations, since its speed depends on the mains frequency. The high torque and rotation speed of 500 rpm actively contribute to the regularity and fluidity of the plate rotation.
Mechanical suspension
The 201 is a set of mechanical parts in action. The biggest internal source of noise and vibration is the motor which must be isolated as much as possible from all other parts of the turntable. Engine isolation on New Horizon turntables is done by an exclusive mechanical suspension system. By means of precision steel springs, calibrated to the suspended weight of the motor and pulley, the transmission of vibration to the plinth is effectively blocked.
Belt drive
The transmission of the movement to the plate is achieved with a special natural rubber belt. The choice of this material ensures excellent energy transfer and good isolation from the vibrations produced by the engine during operation.
Inverted bearing
One of the strengths of the New Horizon turntables is the turntable rotation. The perfection of the movement is the result of a precise project and many prototypes. Today the part in production has a robust inverted bearing structure in three pieces of aluminum and steel that guarantee maximum "silence" and very low rotational friction.
9” NH95 arm
The plinth houses the brand new 9″ NH95 straight arm. The movement of this jewel of mechanics is based on four high-precision radial bearings. The tube is a sandwich of nylon and aluminum that has been machined to break the resonances and erase the section dedicated to the counterweight. In addition to the truly progressive proprietary anti-skating, it offers all possible micro-adjustments to fully utilize the characteristics of any cartridge from azimuth to vertical barrel alignment (VTA). The selection of accessories is completed with the necessary tools for its adjustment and a handy bar
Methacrylate plate
Appearance is extremely important: New Horizon turntables feature only laser-cut plates in Crystal Methacrylate. This material with a high specific gravity combines the excellent ability to disperse the kinetic energy of vibrations, with the elegance of a perfect transparency.
Output on RCA terminals
New Horizon turntables connect in the best way to all your electronics. An excellent plate of insulating material houses the gold-plated RCA output terminals. A ground connection is not necessary because the 129 has its own internal shielding.
Legs 5030RD
New Horizon 5030RD feet enhance the sonic characteristics of any hifi device by providing better vibration and resonance isolation.
They are made of Delrin®, steel, low-density natural rubber and HQR (Hard Quiet Rubber) compound, cleaning the system of false vibrations, noticeably improving the sound stage, detail and three-dimensional image.
